Hi There, it's Marguerite with the cleaning services.

Here's our Pro tip you may find helpful with your trash can in the kitchen: "Trash Bags Catch Fruit Flies".

A helpful thing to do is is to get these kitchen bags:
FlexPro 13 Gallon Fresh Scent Tall Kitchen Trash Bag (140-Count)
https://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-FlexPro-13-Gallon-Fresh-Scent-Tall-Kitchen-Trash-Bag-140-Count-HD13XHF140W/206755671
or Amazon:

Put them inside the trash can so the lid can close. As that bag fills. Or if you put garbage in it at the end of the day, Take It Outside. Put it in the yellow bag which holds about 30 lb.

If you ever have an unwanted fruit fly. Its helpful to put a cup of water on your kitchen counter with a little dish soap in it.

Leave it there quite a while for several days or more. As it evaporates, fill it again.

Eventually the fruit flies will land in it, get soapy they can not fly.

Hopefully you will find this and other tips like this helpful.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Thanks! — Marguerite
